Tour Plan

Start your adventure after breakfast in Marrakech, at a location of your choice, and head towards the High Atlas Mountains. Follow the same route as the caravans, which brought spices, wood, and gold from the other side of the desert to Marrakech. Our first stop will be a traditional Berber village, where you'll see a harmonious landscape with tiny villages built on terraced fields, almond trees, walnut trees, and oaks. As we travel on the highest road in Morocco, you'll witness breathtaking views that have been featured in Hollywood movies such as "Babel" with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and "Mission Impossible." After lunchtime, we'll stop at Ait Benhaddou, the most important place in the 'One Thousand Kasbahs' route and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It's famous for being the set of several Hollywood movies, such as "The Mummy," "Gladiator," and the famous HBO series "Game of Thrones." We'll continue our journey to Zagora, passing through the Anti-Atlas and the Berber villages of Agdz and the colorful Draa Valley, which has the largest palm tree forest in Morocco, where water is considered one of the most precious things. When we arrive at Zagora, we'll serve you traditional Moroccan tea. Then, the journey continues by camel, and you'll go deeper into the desert for about an hour, stopping at a nomadic Berber tent where dinner will be served, and you'll hear nothing but your own voice and the voice of your travel companions.
The sun rising between the dunes is an unforgettable moment, and the desert freshness in the morning is unique. After a full breakfast served by a local family, we'll return to the supporting hotel in Zagora by camel. After some time at the hotel to take a bath, our adventure continues to Ouarzazate, the North African Hollywood. Here, we'll visit a major film studio or alternatively, the Kasbah of Taourirt. We'll pause for a light lunch. Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou are two places of great historical and cultural interest in the Atlas, allowing people to see through time and understand how the landscape and lives of those who dedicated themselves to trade were. The golden sun in the faded mountains creates a scenery of a Western movie, ideal for those who enjoy photography or mountains. We'll stop for lunch and experience the delights of the High Atlas. Then, we'll continue to Marrakech, the red city of Morocco, through what was once the route of the caravans coming from the desert. Along the way, we'll briefly stop occasionally in small places that will surprise you with their natural beauty as well as for their traditions and people. We'll continue our journey with the road and landscapes of the Atlas, arriving in Marrakech in the early evening.
